Custom and Personalized Products Policy

We are excited to offer custom and personalized products! However, rules and guidelines must be set on this. This page is to go over those rules and guidelines so we are all on the same page. Going forward on this document Crazy Yeti Clothing AND Crazy Yeti Customs are the same business entity and will be referred to simply as ‘CYC’.

 

Purpose

Crazy Yeti Customs specifically is a service offered to the public to put your personal images onto items offered within the Printify family of products. All items on Printify are available to be used for custom work, however only a certain portion of items will be available on CYC. If you would like an item outside of the current offerings, always feel free to reach out to us via the ‘Let’s Chat’ feature on the website.  

 

All items ordered will be handled by the staff at CYC. We process the image and/or add the text on an image to create your order. Your item(s) then are sent to the production partner within the Shopify network to produce the requested item. Once that request is fulfilled, the production partnerships the order to you directly on our behalf.

 

Most orders will be fulfilled and shipped within the timeframe set by the production partner. Fulfillment times will vary depending on the item and production partner. Shipping times will vary depending on the carrier. Ideally, we like to see orders reach our customers within 7 to 10 business days. But we can not guarantee this. But that is one reason we offer free standard shipping on all orders! 

 

Refunds and Errors

CYC will absolutely handle all production and printing errors in a manner that both you and we are satisfied with. Production errors will be defined as errors that we personally made with the image/text that you requested on the product. Printing errors will be defined as errors that occur with the production partner that is outside both the customer's and CYC’s control. In either situation, remedies may include reprints, refunds and/or credits to a future purchase with CYC.

 

CYC may also cancel an order if we feel like it does not meet our standards. This will commonly include providing an image that is too small to work with. Other examples may include not responding to emails asking for clarity with your order or demanding too much for the service we are providing.

 

That being addressed… Outside of canceling an order, Production and Printing errors, there will be NO REFUNDS on custom or personalized products. Simply put, this is because we can not resale custom or personalized items. Errors that include instances like, ordering the wrong product, the wrong size, the wrong color, providing the wrong image, shipping to inaccurate addresses, misspellings, buyers remorse and other instances are not the fault of CYC nor it’s printing partners.

 

As long as the order is received as ordered, CYC will consider the order complete and final. It is VERY STRONGLY recommended that you double-check your order for accuracy before payment. It is not (and will not be) the responsibility of CYC or its printing partners to verify the accuracy of any order.

 

Images

All images should be the clearest image you have available for use. All images will need to be sent digitally and at least 4,000 pixels on its longest size. Supplying an image that is less than 4,000 pixels on its shortest side may result in a blurry final product or cancelation of the order if we do not like it.

We can take images in almost any format but we do prefer either .png, .jpg, .psp or .gif formats. All images need to be sent to cyc.customs@gmail.com from the email you placed the order with along with your name and any special instructions.

If you are submitting a logo, you'll need to use a .png file with a transparent background. Even though this background is typically white in not .png formats, We will not remove the background for you.

All images will be adjusted digitally in either Adobe or Corel products to meet the requirements that are needed to be printed. These adjustments may include resizing, adjusting color/tone, adjusting sharpness, converting to color formats among other needed adjustments for optimal printing results with the provided image.

CYC WILL NOT augment or alter your photo nor will be take any ‘artistic liberties’ at the request of the customer. We WILL NOT remove any backgrounds from images. Any such liberties the customer would need to perform themselves prior to sending us the image. 

 

Copyright and IP

Copyright and Intellectual Property (IP) laws are very protective of the parties that own the rights to their property. But in this day and age, it is impossible for CYC to keep up with all the dynamics of every major comic book/video game character, new song lyric, movie quote, a band in a local music scene, a picture the grandparent took of the grandchild's birthday (yes technically Grandpa Joe owns the pic he took).

And this does not even cover Fair Use Laws that protect the consumer from legal use of such properties. If you have any questions about any of this, please consult a legal expert in the matter. CYC can not offer legal advice in much matters. 

So to simplify matters for us, upon making an order using the CYC services, You are representing yourself as either:

A) the owner of the image/text requested or

B) as having permission/consent from the owner to use the copyrighted image/text.

Because of your representation, you are absolving CYC of any and all legal consequences for any infringement of someone or some entity's Copyright or IP violation and assuming that liability on yourself. CYC will fully comply with any investigation(s) into suspected copyright infringement. This includes giving the personal information of the customer to law enforcement for their investigation.
